| arryl Giancola and his team have become qualified administrators of The Test of Attentional and Interpersonal Style Inventory (TAIS) as part of its teen coaching and mentorship program, Game Plan. TAIS is a simple to administer, on-line assessment tool used to identify key attributes required for superior performance.
The TAIS is a 144-item inventory that requires about twenty-five minutes to complete, and can be taken by anyone with an eighth grade reading level, right from your home! Based on over twenty years of research by Dr. Robert M. Nideffer Ph.D., which examines the relationship between attentional processes, physiological arousal, and performance, TAIS Inventory measures: |

Awareness of ones environment and the ability to react quickly
External (environmental) distractibility
Analytical skill, the ability to problem solve and plan
Internal distractibility
Focused concentration and follow through
Attentional inflexibility, the failure to shift attention to task relevant cues
Behavioral impulsivity
Need for control and willingness to assume a leadership role
Self-esteem
Intellectual assertiveness
Extroversion
Introversion
Speed of decision making
Confrontiveness and expression of anger
Expression of positive feelings and support
And other Attentional and Interpersonal factors

The TAIS can only be administered and assessed by qualified administrators. After completing the test, teens will be given a two page statistical summary report of their scores, which even compares them to the norm within their chosen group. Any teen completing the TAIS will also receive a 40 page Athletes Mental Edge (AME) report which is an interactive report that pinpoints athletes most likely mental mistakes, offers suggestions for improving performance, and allows athletes to compare their profile scores to those of world class athletes in a number of sports. AME is an excellent resource for teaching athletes how to understand focus, control emotions, deal with pressure, and build mental toughness. Along with these feedbacks, each teen taking the test will have a half hour Summary of Assessment. This is a one on one understanding of the assessment reports by a qualified TAIS administrator who will assess each teens inventory so that the teen can best strengthen their Attentional and Interpersonal skills. This half hour Summary of Assessment with a qualified TAIS administrator can be done at a convenient location and with any family members who wish to attend. Please contact us for the next test date and the costs of this fantastic assessment tool. 647-221-6255d.giancola@darrylgiancola.com
